Residential Property Solicitor

Respected Central London firm are seeking a diligent, confident, self-motivated, and experienced lawyer to join a busy property department focusing on residential property work. The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge and a keen interest and proven ability in business development as well as a pro-active approach to risk management. They will be keen to progress and grow within the department. Career development opportunities available to the right candidate.

The role requires a diligent, confident, self-motivated, and experienced lawyer to join a busy property department focusing on residential property work. The successful candidate will be working directly with a Partner. They will have circa 5 years PQE, and be able to hit the ground running with variety of matter types. They must have excellent technical knowledge as well as a keen interest and proven ability in business development as well as a pro-active approach to risk management. Key requirements for this role are: -

  • Essential experience in
    • Dealing with all aspect of residential property
    • Freehold / Leasehold purchases and sales
    • Remortgages
    • New Builds both freehold and leasehold purchases.
    • Preparing Transfers and new leases in any work for developers.
    • New builds with HTB loans
    • Re-mortgages including Company owned properties.
  • Desirable experience
    • Knowledge of commercial property
    • Working with a lexcel accredited firm
    • Working within a CQS accredited firm
    • Portfolio purchases.
    • Specific BTL properties
    • HMO properties
  • Excellent technical knowledge
  • Interest in business development
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced organisation and working as part of a team where necessary
  • Be able to demonstrate confidence and self-motivation
  • Be able to demonstrate running own case load efficiently.
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
