Job Description:
Respected Central London law firm are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join their team on a 6-month project basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for clearing, reconciling client ledgers, and facilitating the return of funds to clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Clearing Transactions: Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with SRA rules and internal policies.
- Reconciling Client Ledgers: reconcile client ledgers to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Returning Funds to Clients: Facilitate the prompt and accurate return of funds to clients, following established procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with fee earners and other legal professionals to address any financial matters related to client accounts.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and client communications, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and organised.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to client accounts in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Legal Cashier
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively and independently.
Knowledge of SRA accounts rules.
Prior experience working on projects or assignments with defined timelines.
